How do kids connect with Miss Anna and play this online game together?

-Nintendo Switch has made it possible to travel to each other’s islands and make real friendships and real connections with kids around the world without even leaving our couch! Believe it or not, It’s actually pretty easy too!

What will my child need?

-Your child will just need a few simple things before class begins.

1. Your child will need an ACTIVE Paid Nintendo Subscription to virtually travel through the internet to Miss Anna's Island, Host Friends on their Island, OR connect to other kids Islands. Please make sure this is purchased prior to class. ( If your child is already playing the switch online with friends they likely already have this )

( If you need to purchase this, the cost of a paid Nintendo subscription is only about $20 USD for the entire year. )

2. To have the ability to travel to other peoples' Islands your child will need to visit the airport ATLEAST 1 time on their own island prior to coming to camp to ensure the internet is ready to be used in their game for camp.

3. Once your child enters camp Miss Anna will provide kids with the DoDo code needed to connect and visit her island using their Nintendo Switch at the same time! . For this step adults may need to offer support the first class or two if their child has never used a dodo code before.

4. During the first day of camp, Miss Anna will offer to "Best Friend" each child in the game to allow them to gain faster access to her island faster if they would like to.

What is Miss Anna's virtual classroom atmosphere like?

-Miss Anna is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of teaching, mentoring, and classroom management experience.

- I lead this class with humor, an upbeat attitude and positive vibes to encourage all the students to do the same and to foster friendships.

- I will occasionally mute the entire class during the parts of class where I am actively giving the kids directions so all of the children can clearly hear me to ensure a positive gaming experience.
