What Our Parents Say…

Meet Your Mentor

Jenny C. (Ms. Jenny)

Hi! I love to teach classes that are fun and promote discussion and creativity. In all of my classes I mix critical thinking with out of the box thinking so that the kids learn something brand new! I find the best way to do this is by using books, video games, trivia and other interactive components to keep them engaged and wanting to learn.

My passion for critical thought stems from my degree in Philosophy. The integration of pop culture in my classes is rooted in a lifetime of toy collecting, video game playing, and during my time as a staff writer for an online comic book review site.

Over the past five years I have created community-based, pop-up craft classes for parents and children that integrate culture and thought, and I am excited about the opportunity to share these types of activities with my students! As a neurodivergent educator, I've poured my heart into creating classes that are inclusive, flexible, and designed to meet a wide range of learning needs.

My goal is to help every learner thrive, whether that means adapting lessons on the fly, incorporating favorite interests, or rethinking what “school” can look like. Together, we’ll learn, grow, and have fun while breaking away from outdated ideas of traditional education.
