Course details
Young Scholars Academy's World of Warcraft: WoW Forever is a live, guided gaming group for teens ages 13 to 18, led by Ms. Wish. Teens team up to quest, run dungeons and take on small raids together, each playing a role so the whole group can win. They practice calling out plans, working through boss fights and adjusting when a plan fails, with a weekly crew of peers who love the same game.
Depending on the week, the class splits into two small groups for quests and dungeons, or comes together as one full party for a raid. Students come up with strategies together, help each other through hard encounters and, hopefully, defeat a few bosses. Ms. Wish wants everyone to have fun playing together.
Ms. Wish keeps the group organized and makes sure every student has a role, so nobody is left on the sidelines. She keeps chat friendly and respectful, including when a run goes badly. Experienced players and brand-new ones learn from each other as they go.
Tanks, healers and damage dealers all have to do their part for the group to win. Teens call out plans, ask for help, learn boss mechanics and try again when a plan fails. It is real practice in clear communication with a group that depends on them.
Small groups for quests and dungeons give quieter players room to speak up. Students can talk in voice or type in chat. Classes are small and camera-optional, with movement or quiet breaks when a student needs one.
