Does this sound like your family?

We Built YSA for Kids Like Yours.

Most programs weren't designed with your child in mind. YSA was, from day one.

🧠

Intellectually advanced, socially adrift

Your child can hold a conversation with adults but can't find a single peer who shares their intensity. They're the smartest kid in class, and the loneliest one too.

Wired differently, underserved constantly

ADHD, autism, anxiety, or a profile that doesn't fit any one label. School sees the behavior. You see the extraordinary mind underneath. You're tired of fighting for a fit that never quite arrives.

🔥

Passionate about everything school ignores

Cryptography, D&D, game theory, aerospace engineering, philosophy. School offers AP English. Your child wants to go deeper into the things that actually light them up.

You haven't failed to find the right fit. The right fit simply hasn't existed. Until now..
What your family gets

Here's What Changes When Your Child Finds Their People.

At the Open House, and in every YSA class that follows.

1

Real friendships, sometimes starting at the open house itself

Many families tell us their child made a genuine friend during the live breakout session, before classes even started. These are kids who just get each other.

2

A mentor who finally understands your child's brain

Every YSA teacher is neurodivergent themselves, a parent of a 2e kid, or both. They don't just know the subject. They know what it feels like to be your child.

3

Courses that ignite curiosity instead of killing it

150+ classes your child actually wants to take, built around their strengths and passions, not a standard curriculum. A child who loves learning again changes everything.

4

A parent community that finally gets it

Bi-weekly expert talks, a parent village, and a network of families who understand exactly what you're navigating. You don't have to figure this out alone.

5

Credibility that matters for their future

YSA is WASC accredited. Courses earn real academic credit. Your child's extraordinary mind gets the serious recognition it deserves.

6

Zero risk. Ever.

The Open House is completely free. YSA courses come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. No diagnosis required. No pressure. Just an extraordinary community waiting to meet your child.

What to expect

What Happens at the Open House

This is not a presentation. There are no slides. It's a real, live experience designed to show you and your child exactly what YSA feels like.

1

Welcome & Family Introductions (10 min)

Meet families from across the country who are on the same journey. The exhale in that first 10 minutes is real: "Oh. These are my people." It happens every time.

2

Meet the Mentors (20 min)

Spend real time with YSA teachers, most are neurodivergent themselves or parents of 2e kids. Watch how they interact. You'll know immediately that these educators are different.

3

Live Student Breakout Sessions (30 min)

Your child joins a real breakout room with other YSA kids, playing, exploring, and connecting around a topic they love. Many families tell us this single moment changes everything. Kids forget they're at a school event entirely.

4

See Classes in Action (15 min)

A live peek inside actual YSA courses. Watch your child's eyes light up at what's possible this fall, from Cryptography to Debate to Robotics to Songwriting.

5

Open Q&A with the YSA Team (15 min)

Ask anything. No question is too specific. Our team stays until every family has what they need to decide confidently whether YSA is the right fit.

🔒 This event is live-only and will not be recorded. The connections between kids, between parents, and with our mentors happen in real time and can't be replicated in a replay. If you want the experience, you need to be there.

After enrolling in YSA, families tell us:

Their child made their first real friend in years
Their child started asking to go to class instead of avoiding it
They stopped dreading the question "what school does your kid go to?"
Their child's anxiety and school resistance dropped within weeks
They felt supported as a parent for the first time in the journey
Their child's confidence in their own identity grew visibly
What families say

The Messages That Mean the Most to Us.

These aren't reviews. They're notes families sent after their first week.

★★★★★

"After five programs and countless hours of research, YSA was the first place that didn't try to change my daughter. They celebrated her exactly as she is: intense interests, asynchronous development, and all. She came home from her first class and said, 'Mom, those kids are just like me.'"

Parent of a 10 year old · 2e learner
Enrolled in: Cryptography + Social Club
★★★★★

"My son is 12 and had never had a true friend. Within three weeks at YSA, he had four. I watched him during the open house breakout, just being himself, no masking, no apologizing. I hadn't seen him that relaxed in years."

Mom of a gifted/ADHD 12 year old
Enrolled in: Game Theory + Robotics
★★★★★

"We've been to programs that promised to 'understand gifted kids' and gave him harder worksheets. YSA is entirely different. The mentors are neurodivergent themselves. They're not managing my kid. They're genuinely thrilled by him. You can't fake that."

Dad of a twice-exceptional 8 year old
Enrolled in: D&D + AI Fundamentals
★★★★★

"I registered for the open house not expecting much. Forty minutes in, I had already cried twice and sent the link to three other moms. These educators are real. For a parent who has spent years advocating for her child. That means everything.."

Homeschool mom of a 7 year old
Enrolled in: Debate + Executive Function
★★★★★

"My daughter told me YSA is the first place she's ever felt normal. That sentence ended a three-year search. I can't describe what it means to hear your child say that."

Parent of a 14 year old · ASD/gifted
Enrolled in: Songwriting + Anime Arts

Is this the right fit?

Who This Open House Is For.

We'd rather you know clearly before you register. Honesty matters more to us than a big attendance number.

✅ This is for you if…

  • Your child is gifted, 2e, autistic, ADHD, anxious, or differently wired
  • They struggle socially but thrive one-on-one or in small groups
  • You're homeschooling, hybrid schooling, or looking for enrichment
  • You want real intellectual challenge AND real friendship together
  • You're exhausted from advocating alone

⚠️ This may not be the right fit if…

  • You're looking for a full-time accredited school with traditional grades
  • You want a rigid academic curriculum with daily homework
  • Your child thrives in neurotypical settings and needs no additional community
🌟

About Our Mentors

Every YSA mentor holds an advanced degree AND is neurodivergent themselves, a parent of a 2e child, or both. They understand your child's brain not from a textbook, but from lived experience. They don't manage your child. They're genuinely lit up by them. At YSA, that's the standard, not the exception.

Things Families Ask Before Registering.

Is this really free? +
Yes, completely free. No hidden fees, no surprise pitch at the end. This is how we show you who YSA is before asking anything of you. We believe you should experience us before you invest in us.
Will it be recorded? +
No, and that's intentional. The magic of our open house is in the real-time connections: kids meeting kids in breakout rooms, parents meeting parents, families meeting mentors. That experience can't be replicated in a replay. If you want it, you have to be there live.
My child has struggled with every online program we've tried. Why would this be different? +
Please don't confuse "reactive distance learning" (the exhausting Zoom school your child survived) with what we do. Our classes are small (6–10 students), taught by mentors who are neurodivergent themselves, built entirely around your child's strengths, and designed for the brain your kid actually has. We invite you to see it yourself at the open house before deciding anything.
Does my child need a diagnosis to join YSA? +
Never. If you're here, you're in the right place. We serve students who are formally identified as gifted or 2e, suspected neurodivergent, or simply bright kids who have never quite fit the mold. Our strength-based model works for every child who has ever felt like a square peg in a round hole.
What ages does YSA serve? +
We serve students ages 5–18, in age-grouped classes for Kindergarten, Elementary (6–9), Middle School (10–13), and High School (14–18). We also offer courses for young adults up to age 25 in our transition and college-prep programs.
How much do courses cost? +
Courses range from $39 to $75 per session across 8–10 week semesters. When your child enrolls in any two courses, the Homeroom Social Club (the social heart of YSA) is completely free. Payment plans are available. We'll walk through all pricing at the open house with zero pressure.
Can parents attend, or is it just for students? +
The open house is designed for the whole family. While kids go into breakout sessions, parents have dedicated time with the YSA team to ask every question they have. The best experience happens when both parent and child attend. You'll each know whether this is the right fit.

Your Child's People Are Waiting for Them.

It takes two minutes to register. It could be the best decision you make for your child this fall.
